Covid-19 caused a loss of Rs 3,500 crore or more in Bollywood

Ajay Devgn and Saif Ali Khan’s film Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior was released in early 2020. That’s when his success party was held. The year 2020 was supposed to be a good start for Bollywood. But then Kauro’s world was struck so that the world seemed to come to a standstill.

In this, Bollywood has been loss by Rs 3500 crore or more.

Akshay Kumar’s Suryavanshi, Ranveer Singh’s 4, Varun Dhawan’s Coolie no. One and Salman Khan had high hopes for other films including Radhe. Apart from this, there were films like John Abraham, Imran Hashmi and Sunil Shetty’s Mumbai Saga, John’s Satyamev Jayatan Two, Ajay Devgn’s Bhuj: The Pride of India and Maidan, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s Brahmastra, Aamir Khan’s Lal Singchaddi.

Unfortunately, after Tiger Shroff’s Rebellion 2, no film managed to make much money at the box office. Theaters then closed from mid-March to October. Even after the theaters opened, there was no significant difference. Meanwhile, films like Manoj Bajpayee and Diljit Dosanjh, Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari, Kiara Advani’s Indu Ki Jawani and Riya Chatha’s Shakila were released but did not get much response at the box office.

Instead, people opted for OTT, a platform that includes Amitabh and Ayushman Khuranani, Gulabo Sitabo, Akshay Kumar’s Lakshmi and Varan Dhawan’s Coolie Number One, which didspecial
not get aresponse. Business will not move forward. Or what if viewers choose to watch movies at home?
